Give a Little…

I have the absolute EASIEST way to give back to your favorite charity or foundation.  Amazon has created a platform called AmazonSmile that you shop through and they donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to your selected charity at no cost to you.  Our family does a lot of our shopping through Amazon and even though 0.5% of a purchase may not sound like a lot, it definitely adds up.

You can use your AmazonSmile account on your computer or via the Amazon App on your smart phone. I will show you how to do both in this post.

How to sign up for an AmazonSmile:

1. Type smile.amazon.com into your web browser.
2. Sign in using your existing Amazon account (if you do not have one, you will need to create one)
3. Select your charity.  You can browse suggested ones or if you know the charity you want to support, you can search for it.
4. Start shopping.  Any qualifying purchase will prompt a 0.5% donation from AmazonSmile automatically.

How to use AmazonSmile on the Amazon App:

It is important to note that you must have an existing AmazonSmile in order to use it through your app.  You cannot sign up for AmazonSmile initially through the App.  Once you have an AmazonSmile account, you can set your Amazon App to use AmazonSmile.

1. Download the Amazon Shopping App from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android)
2. Open the Amazon Shopping app
3. Tap on Settings (3 lines on bottom right of screen) and then select “AmazonSmile”
4. Select your charity and then follow the on-screen instructions to turn ON AmazonSmile in the mobile app
5. Once AmazonSmile has been turned on in your app, future eligible app purchases will generate a donation for the charity you have selected.
